Behind Bars for Good to Benefit MDA

Springfield, Mass., August 20, 2010 – On Tuesday, August 24th, Pazzo Ristorante in Springfield, will be hosting the “SPRINGFIELD LOCK UP”. Area business people from the greater Springfield area will be brought to our “mock jail” at Pazzo’s.

The jailbirds will be treated to much more than bread and water, as they help raise bail money to get out of the MDA Jail at Pazzo’s. All funds received will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s comprehensive programs. Locally, the Association offers clinics at Baystate Medical Center, as well as funding for research projects and summer camp.

A very special thanks to Pazzo’s and to all the volunteers that have joined together to help make this event possible.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. The majority of contributions to MDA come from individual donors.
