SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. August 18, 2010 – On Wednesday, August 25, 2010, Shop Rite Supermarkets will the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with a check for $53, 606 for their Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program.
The check will be presented at VIP Day at MDA Summer Camp in Spring Valley, N.Y. between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Since 2002, Shop Rite has raised over $563,000 for MDA! All the proceeds raised from the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Program will go towards MDA’s services, research programs and support groups which benefit local individuals and families affected by neuromuscular disease.
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and far-reaching professional and public health education.
